I feel lost without you

Maybe you complete me

Maybe it’s because we haven’t talked in a while

But I can’t help thinking about you

This song sounds like your thoughts

The wind smells like you

The grass shakes like your ruffled hair

Perhaps we left things unsaid

But why does that mean we can’t even be friends?

I hear your heartbeat in the crashing waves

I listen for your voice in the shaking trees

Leaves fall and the sun shines

Like when your smile was once mine

If a memory is all that keeps us apart

Then please remember me when it’s dark

Keep me close throughout the night

In dreams where a kiss can be spoken

And I am no longer broken

Remember me when you start to hate her

Remember me when you need a cure

To a broken heart

I was once there in part

Just the thought of you brings a smile

Of a forgotten moment, for awhile

I sit and wonder

At the journey we have encountered

Will it end I no longer know

Who you are or where you’ll go

Forgotten friend I am without

I’ll remember you when it counts

I was trying to say I missed you
